Stan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Judge Memorial School. After serving in the Coast Guard for 5 years he enjoyed a career in sales and auto surveying. He retired in 1985 and set out to enjoy the things he loved the most: working at the Buggy House that he established with his son Jerry and son-in-law Richard, and extensive traveling. He suffered a stroke in 2002 and spent the next 10 years surrounded by his loving family, gardening and tending to his birds. He is survived by his loving wife Angelina; devoted children Gerald (Peggy), Judy (Richard), Janette (Ed); six grandchildren Michelle (Ki), Marcella (Mike), Chris (Michelle), Megan, Kim (David) and Taryn (Nick); twelve great-grandchildren Lauren, Kyle, Collin, Devon, Andrew, Laith, Emma, Colton, Logan, Parker, Dahlia and Bryson. He was preceded in death by his brother Leon Young of Colorado and his sister Lucille Frank of Utah.
