SEPTEMBER 10, 1978 - DECEMBER 3, 2011
Shaun was born on September 10, 1978 and raised in the Bay Area. Shaun tragically died in an automobile accident in Key West, Florida on December 3, 2011. Shaun graduated with honors from Pinole Valley High School in 1996 and was student class president. He continued his education at California State University Sacramento, earning his BA in Government in 2001. Shaun was elected chairman of the California State Student Association and was an active and proud alumnus of the Theta Xi Chapter of Sigma Chi International Fraternity.
Shaun's career began when he was hired in 2002 as the Vice President of government affairs for the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Shaun started his Chamber Advocacy Consulting Business in 2003 as a public policy consultant. In 2007, he and his business partner began publishing the Long Beach Post online and then expanded the post into a successful printed medium.
Shaun is survived by his loving wife Deziré, his proud and adoring parents Ronald and Deborah, his devoted sister Gina, brother-in-law Donniell and nephew Donniell Jr., his mother-in-law Charlotte, sister-in-law Brittney, father-in-law Greg and mother-in-law April. His generous and loving spirit will be missed by his family, friends and everyone who ever knew him.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 10th, from 1pm-5pm and the Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12th at 11:00am at Holy Angels St. Joseph Cemetery 2560 Church Lane, San Pablo.
