RESIDENT OF HAYWARD
Jose Cruz Del Rio passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 after battling with several ailments. Jose Cruz was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, graduated from the University of Guadalajara and earned a degree in civil engineering. He also enjoyed working as a math teacher at the University. He then uprooted his family and moved to Hayward, California in 1987 where he lived until his last days. J.C. also enjoyed a 20 year career with Tyco Electronics. He enjoyed sports, and cheering for local bay area teams.
J.C. is survived by his loving wife Zully, devoted children Zully Del Rio (Omar) of Newark, Jose Del Rio Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Paulina Del Rio Decoteau (Anthony) of Hayward, Eddie Del Rio of Newark, and grandchildren Adrianna, Andrea, Manny, Julian and Anthony. He is also survived by his father Zacarias Del Rio of Hayward, California. His sister Angelica Kille of Gibsonburg, OH and his brothers Hector (Mariade Jesus) Del Rio, Miguel Del Rio. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 4:00pm to 8:30pm with a vigil service at 6:30pm at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Bede Catholic Church, 26950 Patrick Avenue, Hayward, California. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
