Maria passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. She touched many lives with her warm and caring ways and how she accepted others into her life. Maria was born in Mexico. She enjoyed her gardening and cooking for her family. Maria is survived by her devoted children Maria Aurelia Lopez (Rae), of Dublin, Maria Socorro Hernandez (Coco) of Tracy, Greg & Christine Lopez Jr. of Pleasanton, Christina Lopez (Thina) of Union City, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was loving mother and a beautiful person all who knew her and she will be missed so much.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 6th from the hours of 5:00 - 8:30 pm with a 6:00 pm vigil at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, Dec. 7th at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Rosary, 703 C St. & 6th St., Union City. Burial to follow to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
