RESIDENT OF SAN LEANDRO
Rudolph (Rudy) Vierra, born 1/21/27 at home to John and Mary Vierra in Hayward. Resident of San Leandro, formerly of Clearlake & Hayward. Rudy, an Army veteran, passed away peacefully 11/12/11 after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
He is survived by his children & grandchildren; Catherine Vierra Houston (Jeremy, Alyssa), Stephen Vierra and Karen Freeman (Tim, Brianna). Preceded in death by wife Edna & sister Nettie Wert.
Proud union retiree of the IAM, member of the VFW and American Legion Posts of Clearlake. Rudy was a lifelong tinkerer with magic hands that could make anything & fix anything. He lovingly tended his garden of fruit trees and vegetables. His warm, ever present smile, laugh & joy of life will be missed everyday. We love you, Pops!
Viewing, Thursday, November 17th, 5:00 - 8:30 PM at Holy Angels Sorensen Chapel, 1140 B St, Hayward, with Vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM, Friday, November 18th at All Saints Catholic Church, 22824 Second & D St, Hayward. Interment immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Bl, Hayward.
