Edwin Tolentino Pangilinan passed away on November 10, 2011. He touched many lives with his gentle heart and spirit.
Edwin was born in Angeles City, Philippines. He graduated from high school from Holy Angel University, Philippines and earned a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Pampanga Agricultural Colleges (PAC). He earned a master's degree in Animal Science from University of the Philippines, Los Banos. He was a professor at PAC prior to migrating to the United States. In the United States, he worked as a lab technician, an animal care supervisor/study director, quality control supervisor, and a histotech for the University of California at Berkeley, Pacific BioLabs, Bayer, Kaiser Permanente, and California Pacific Medical Center, respectively. He was part of several organizations including: the St. Therese Choral Group while at UP Los Banos, the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) while working for UC Berkeley, Bayer, and Pacific BioLabs, and the American Society for Pathology (ASCP) and National Society of HistoTechnology while at Kaiser and California Pacific Medical Center.
Edwin loved to watch football and boxing. He had a passion for music. One of his many talents was playing guitar.
Edwin was a very loving husband, a good father, a good friend and a good provider for his family. He is well loved by his brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
Edwin is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie and lovely children, Leanne and Paulo Pangilinan.
Friends and family are invited to join the viewing on November 18, 2011, 4:00-8:00 pm and November 19, 2011, 4:00-8:00 pm (with a funeral vigil 6:00-7:00 pm) at Holy Angels St. Joseph Cemetery, 2540 Church Lane, San Pablo CA, 94806.
Edwin's generous, loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Edwin is very active & energetic guy even during our College days at PAC and I'm sure he'll be missed by all specially his dorm-mates (OBD).

I was really saddened when Ate Lina texted me about it. I believe things happen for a reason.
