Family and friends lovingly surrounded Vicky at home the last days of her life. She loved to dance with her husband and sing. Vicky was a hardworking, strong, resilient, tolerant, religious and loving woman. She was a legal secretary since she was 18 years old and currently worked for the law office of Brady Vorwerck Ryder & Caspino. Vicky was a cradle Catholic and attended Presentation High School class of 1974. Vicky loved being part of church activities; she was a member of YLI at St. Catherine’s church. Her joy in life was family and keeping family traditions. Vicky’s claim to family fame was winning 1st place in Fantasy football over her son, grandson and nephews. She was a devout Raider & A’s fan.

She was predeceased by parents Harlow & Gladys Newton and her infant son Eric. She cherished and is survived by her loving husband Robert Sausedo - PGK and faithful navigator of the 4th degree of K of C, children Dawnna Schwartz Flood (Mickey) and Danny Schwartz (Suzie), her step children: Christina, Robie (Michelle), and Sheanine Sausedo (Mark Shoemaker). Vicky was proud and boastful of her 10 grandchildren: Steven “Boo”, Chris, & James Perez, Kayla Schwartz & Mickey Flood, Savannah & Donovan Sausedo and Maggie, Nathan, & Cora Shoemaker. Brothers Ralph and Harlow II Newton (Lori), nephew Harlow III (Danielle), and Nieces Sierra & Brianna, Brother In law Rick DelFiorentino (Nancy), niece Raquel and nephew Johnny. Also, great friends Art & Kathy Pagnini. As well as countless family, friends and co-workers. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Services will be held in Martinez, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 600 Mellus St. A rosary will be held Thursday, November 17th @ 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18th @ 10am. Celebration of life will follow @ The Veteran’s hall, 930 Ward St. in Martinez.

Vicky was my true friend and "Sister." We worked together at BVRC and from the time I met her, we built a bond that I will cherish forever. She was always there for me and my children. Always keeping me grounded when I wanted to fly off the handle at work. My family will always be grateful for the times we've shared with her and her family and friends. She was a welcoming individual and always had a loving and giving heart. God called back a true ANGEL. I will miss her dearly and there will never be another like her. LOVE YOU ALWAYS SIS!
