Leila Narvaez Cordova

leila-cordovaSunrise: AUGUST 10, 1949 Sunset: NOVEMBER 1, 2011

Leila Narvaez Cordova was born in Manila on August 10,1949. She closely grew up with her brothers, Leonard and Larry. Leila attended the University of Santo Tomas and St. Joseph's College where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. When Leila was 18, she moved to California. She worked at CSAA for 27 years until she retired. After Leila's retirement, she became more active in her family's real estate business. Leila was passionate about helping others.

Leila was a blessing to anyone fortunate enough to have been graced by her presence. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and best friend. Leila has certainly touched many lives during her time here on earth. Her charisma, generosity, and ambition set her apart from any other. Leila spent her life taking care of her loved ones. She and Rolando raised 6 amazing children and nurtured them to become the successful people they are today. Leila selflessly put others before herself. However, a time came when God decided that it was her turn to be taken care of. In 2004, she suffered from a stroke, which left her half paralyzed. With extensive therapy and the support of her family she was able to recover a substantial amount of her abilities to return home. Regardless of Leila's circumstances, she never stopped being the rock that held her family together. She and Rolly continued to enjoy their life together. Whether it was traveling, sight seeing, eating or simply enjoying each other's company at home, they maintained a wonderful marriage. In 2006, she suffered from a second stroke that took an immense toll on her lifestyle. Although she resided in a sub acute nursing home, her family stuck by her side and loved her unconditionally. The importance of family and togetherness was something that Leila always stressed to her children. She may not have been able to verbally communicate but the love within her family was definitely understood. She will be greatly missed for there will never be another who can take her place.

Leila is survived by her loving family, Rolando Cordova, Crystal De Castro, Constance Florendo, Chanda Alcantara, Rani Cordova, Lorelei Cordova-Komery, Myra Cordova, Anthony De Castro, Christian De Castro, NJ De Castro, Sojah Narvaez, Caleb Alcantara, Mateo Komery, Amanda Arroyo, Aviel Lopez, Larry Narvaez, Mary Ann Narvaez, Araceli Ferriols and Augusto Ferriols.

Leila's family greatly appreciates everyone's love, prayers and presence.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
