Carol Joy Taylor

RESIDENT OF SAN LEANDRO

Carol Taylor passed October 8, 2011, at the age 65, as a result of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. She was the epitome of the term 'Fighter' as she ferociously battled PAH for 11 years and Lymphoma twice.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years, James Taylor. She will be greatly missed by her children Cyndee of San Diego, Mary Lynn of Cloverdale and Andrew of Roseville, along with her two ‘favorite' son-in-law's Mark Goldstein & Gabriel Minor, and her ‘favorite' daughter-in-law Sara Taylor. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Lyndee, Audree, Brody and Gracee. She is also survived by her brother, David Christopherson and wife Nancy of Indiana, along with seven nieces & nephews.

Carol loved flowers and gardening, along with knitting and sewing. She enjoyed reading and spoiling her pets. She never missed watching March Madness, as she was devoted basketball fan. Above all, she was undeniably supportive to her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Oct. 27, 2011 from the hours of 5:00 - 8:30 pm with a 7:00 pm vigil at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward, CA 94542. Funeral Mass will be on Fri. Oct. 28, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Felicitas Church, 1662 Manor Boulevard, San Leandro, CA 94579.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Carol's name be made to Stanford University as an unrestricted gift to support the research program of Dr. Peter Kao, and sent to: Ms. Benita Kaeding, Administrator, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Stanford University Medical Center, 300 Pasteur Drive, Stanford, CA 94305-5236.
