Beverly graduated Castlemont High School in 1957. She married John Gaffett Sr. and together they had three children. Beverly worked in banking, retired as vice-president. Beverly met the love of her life, Herbert Dick, and enjoyed 31 years of marriage. She loved golf, pool and bowling, as well as many trips to Reno. She taught her grandson, John, to read. Beverly is survived by her devoted husband, Herbert Dick, sister, Shirley Sanchez, children John Richard Gaffett Jr., Jeffrey Allen Gaffett, Judith Ann Black (Kathleen), Donald Dick (Pamela), Kennith Dick (Lesa) and Ileenia Simmons (Randy). Her bright smile and joyous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be Monday, September 19, 2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Holy Angels Funeral Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 1:00pm also at Holy Angels, burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
